Our Values
In recognition of the deep history and culture of this Island, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of the land upon which we live and work. We acknowledge and pay our respects to all Tasmanian Aboriginal Communities; all of whom have survived invasion and dispossession, and who continue to maintain their identity, culture and connection to country.
The Launceston Benevolent Society stands for human rights, social justice, integrity and respect for all people.
We recognise the social determinants of health and well-being, and the role they play in shaping people’s lives. We support efforts to address these underlying factors and encourage policies that reduce disadvantage and create stronger, more equitable communities.
Our Vision
Our vision is make sure those in need are assisted and have their needs met. Communities across our region are healthy, resilient, and inclusive. Tasmanians of all ages share the same opportunities for a positive future.
