What Volunteers Do?
Bread Run
Collect bread from supermarkets and deliver to other agencies.
Client Assistance
Assist clients with their food and pick out clothing.
Donation Sorting
Sort out the clothes that come in daily.

Build the hampers that go out to clients.
Volunteer Stories
Karen has been a dedicated volunteer with the Launceston Benevolent Society for nearly two years, and she often reflects that walking through our doors was one of the best decisions she has made. From the moment she joined the team, Karen stepped straight into one of the organisation’s biggest challenges — transforming the linen mezzanine floor.
On her very first day, she sat on the steps, looked at the mountain of boxes, and wondered how she would ever get through it. Then she opened the first box and got to work. What was once a cluttered, overwhelming space with no clear direction is now organised to the standard of a professional linen store. Anyone can walk in and immediately find exactly what they need.
Karen is incredibly proud of the work she does and the people we support. Her commitment, care, and determination have made a lasting impact on the organisation and the community we serve.
